What is the most expensive lure you have purchased and do you think it was worth it?

Whopper Plopper - has caught a few bass but not as many as I was hoping. Maybe out to go where there are more bass and leave chasing the Kokanee alone. On second thought - never mind.
I don't buy many lures but one I swear by is the Luckycraft surf pointer. They go for upwards of 17 bucks, but they'll catch anything in the surf that eats other fish. Lot of guys recommend replacing the hooks because they have been known to bend. Even with that, they're still worth it. My opinion.
The most expensive lure I have bought is the Lunkerhunt prop turtle, 14.99 Haven't used it yet. It's still coming, Ordered it from Ebay

Early this year I was fishin out on lake Sonoma and found a lure up in a tree. I posted about it at the time. It is the updated version of the whopper plopper. It looks brand new and it's a 15 dollar lure. Didn't buy it and didn't get a chance to use it yet either.
My most expensive was a skirted lure for offshore fishing was just under $100. Never caught anything on it.

The lure store sure caught you.
I bought a 675 ac shiner for a little over 20 dollars but worth the money.

That's the kind of lure we used for tuna and marlin, didn't have a lot of luck with lures but hooked plenty with live mackerel .
Does antique or old lures count? If yes; South bend bass oreno, Cisco kid walleye special,abu-reflex spinner, can't remember what I paid for em, weren't cheap, wood Dalton special,l&s mirror lure Ken from illinois

Lures on display were meant to catch fishermen not fish.
My vote is Luck craft 110. Money well spent.
My most expensive is the one that is still in the mouth of any that got away. Priceless, when you consider that fish was so big it snapped your line only to swim away.
By the way if I ever post that I paid $ 100.00 for a lure call plumjuice and have her put me away. Hope they have a pond there.

Yeah, those off shore rigs can get pretty darned expensive. Making your own is much less expensive.
