It’s a metaphor; or is it simile.....oh well
Believe it or not , I have quoted that “saying” from the platform at my church a couple times over the last ten years. No, I havn’t gotten kicked out. Yet.....

Also, I go to a Cowboy Church; not quite as formal/straight-laced as the typical church.

Years back we had metal chairs at church, a new mature couple showed up she sat down in front of me.
When she stood up to sing I switched out her warm chair for a fresh one.
She shot up like a rocket turned and looked at me, I introduced myself after that she sat in the same row as my wife and I.
She iss in he late 90's now and we still laugh about that day and are friends to the end.
I Love her and her husband as if my own flesh and blood.

We have a white elephant gift exchange at church, one year she made sure I got my coal.

Still laugh about that also.

Come to find out she has a much better and extensive sense of humor.

She has had the upper hand often.

I got hurt on the job one time of many and ended up talking to a psych dr.

She had me doing some things one was a maze with a pencil.

I picked the pencil up did the maze from end to beginning, she informed me I was to start at the start position.

I informed her the pencil didn't know what direction it was going and said it is the same result what difference did it make where I started. I didn't make a wrong turn orany mistake just through the maze, From end to start I could see the route like it was a straight line.

After we discussed it and it was made clear a redue was not gonna happen, she made the remark she had never had anyone do that, fortunately we have had someone pave the road for us.

Toll has been paid for all.
