IN the short time I have been a grown up I have found out that most of what goes on are things which I have no control over. I check in from time to time to see when the next war is going to start or what disaster has occurred but for the most part I try to leave it alone. In my prayer every day I remind Dad that stuff is a mess and He could help us all a whole bunch if He could place the folks who can fix it into places where they can actually do it, IF He should choose not to do it Himself which would be the absolute best. That done I attempt to focus on the beauty that surrounds me and the love that consumes me and maybe, just maybe, spend some time out away from the madness and experience creation. I hope Randy is reading this cuz I'm trying really hard to get on his good side for once.

Don’t worry ‘bout me; I’m easy. Being on HIS “good side” is all that is REALLY important. For what shall it profit (us) if we gain the whole world (coal/diamonds) and lose (our) own souls? Mark 8:36
I’m really just HIS elf.

It always amazes me when a few of you quote the good book. My study habits from days gone bye did not award me the gift of memory that so many have. Watching people on Jeopardy puzzles my mind. How do they recall that stuff?

Reading and then verifying what you all say referencing the bible astonishes me to no end. Thank You All.

The most important part my friend is that you LIVE the message. It is written in your heart, you live it! The Word is alive in your life Plum.

Thanks Gray the eyes are a little wet on that one.

When I look back on days that are long gone I often remind my self that He is a Forgiving God. I can't remember half the stuff I have read, but I do remember not to do the wrongs I have done.

So like you say I try my best to Live the message. Thanks Again.

The enemy of us all knows the scriptures chapter and verse. It's more important to remember that we may be the only page of the Gospel someone else gets to read!

And plenty are getting some here, and that is not a bad thing.

To do right and teach by example is one way.

To continue on the path of doing right, is the only way.

Amen to ALL you guys.
Honestly, my memory sucks when it comes to many things, but scriptures seem to just pop up. I have to use a Strong’s Concordance to find where they are in the Bible tho. It lists every word in the entire Bible, like a dictionary, and shows every verse that contains each word with a short context. Super handy for ministry. I’m not a preacher but I believe we, as Christians, are all called to spread the gospel whether by word or example. Here is something I came up with right before my son was deployed several years ago:
JUST AS THE MOON IS A REFLECTION OF THE SUN ON THE DARK SIDE OF THE WORLD, WE CAN BE A REFLECTION OF THE SON ON THE “DARK” SIDE OF THE WORLD. MOON SOMEONE TODAY

My Dad bought me one before he passed, he could quote scripture all day long, and show you to back it up.

I need to work on that more myself.

It is a great tool. Especially if you only know part of the verse.
