I spent many a day fishing for winter run steelhead north of Monroe on the Skykomish river. It’s been years since I fished that area due to a move to Ga. But caught some really nice fish there. If it’s like many rivers in the state they have been overfished or over netted and ruined.

Yep- that area is defiantly over fished. plus it’s combat fishing.

We were there on Thursday 7/27. My son was the only one who got one in the boat, was slow pretty slow. We were down by the dam.
Down rigger to about 50 - 60
Rig not too far off the down rigger ball. Flashers on the down rigger ball too. Apparently the Sockeye like to party and like alot of flash.

This is Jen and Jason. (Easier if we have one account since we always fish together 😁.)

I have a passion for fly fishing and J does it all.
Joined this group to get a better understanding of our marine area and connect with like minded fishing folk.
We’ve been all over with our drift boat and recently upgrade to a 16 ft Roque Marine , so we can expand our fishing area.

Fish on!!
