Judy, my wife of forty years died of cancer Nov 8.
I feel like the world has taken an egg beater to my guts.
She was the bravest person I have ever known.
I miss her so much.
Just dropped in ta say hey...so hey!
My wife is still alive. Been a year longer than the docs predicted.
I still can't believe a jolly pleasingly plump lady can lose so much weight and still keep going. God bless her. She's just skin and bones now. Thank God there's no pain. That in itself is a miracle.
You all take care of yourselves.
Saw, Marc, Gordon, Kerry...all of ya....thanks for your prayers.
Oh...catch one for me. I can't leave the house long enough to go fishing. Afraid of what I might find when I got home. Don't want her to be alone if you get my drift.
I'll drop in and say hey now and then.
Take care
Chuck aka MadMac
My wife is dying. The cancer is spreading so fast now that it's scary. Her pain is bad and getting worse. I feel so damned helpless. There's not a Damn thing that I can do.
Maybe someday I'll be back
Its been great meeting you folks.
Good bye, God bless and take care.

With my trembling hands, my wife ties my knots and then pulls on disposable rubber gloves and threads on a night crawler.
So I know where you are coming from.
Say Bugeye, the tremors in my hands had gotten so bad that I couldn't do much of anything. My doctor set me up an appointment with a good neurologist who put me on a medication called Zonisimide. I hardly shake at all now. Most of the time my hands are steady. They shake a little when i get upset or tired. It might work for you.
Red Lightening. Not Red Cajun. Anyone ever use the RL in 40lb? Due to very high abrasion resistance it's pretty stiff stuff. There is a spot I want to fish that is murder on fishing line. Braid doesn't stand a chance due to the rock's, downed trees, broken glass and metal of all sorts. There are some big catfish there. I figure a tough, strong mono is my best bet. I've got the reels...Daiwa Sealine and a Penn 209. Got rods that should handle the job. Just wondering how that stiff line casts. I haven't had a chance to find out yet. Not much in the way of reviews available. Anyone experienced with it?
My next best bet due to cost restrictions is Berkely Big Game. I've thought about Ande Monster but that's pretty salty stuff, especially for experiments.
Braid backing with a Red Lightening top shot is another option I rekkin.
Yeah. Nose bald dome hat and all.
Dinka dink a dinka doo...
Howdy! Maybe we'll run into each other some day. My brother and I fish there. My wife used to be my fishing partner but now she has cancer so she can't and I usually stay home with her but sometimes for both our peace of minds I have to Get out and that's where I go.
Ive got 5'6" medium that I've had for many moons. Great little rod. That clear fiberglass tips makes for good sensitivity cat fishing.
I like my 8' Ugly Stik casting rod.
Did some more research. Found a $60 net that just might be worth the money. At leefishersports.com they sell an 8' net called the "Jack". They say it's their most economical net. They sell 4-8 foot nets in the Jack line. Worth looking at if you want an economical net. All I know about his nets are they have a good reputation. But then.. .so does Ahi.
One thing I will say about Ahi is that they did send me a nice free fishing hat.
Some say yes. Some say no. I use Spiderwire on/with three rods and no wear on guides at all.
I've contacted people who use braid and out of several one told me that if you get sand or some other type of grit on the braid it will cut into guides but it's not the braid doing the cutting.
I dont have a definate answer but i've never seen it happen and have never talked to anyone who has had it happen. I had heard rumors. I decided to try it for two or three season's on one rod. No wear so now I'm up to three rods and no problems yet. In afraid that you, like myself, will have to take a chance if you want to use it.
