Are there any fishing opportunities left at your pond? ambergram@gmail.com

Absolutely! you can fish from the dam bank if you don't have a canoe or kayak.

Update: Drain stack has been bent instead of properly cut, could mean the pipe is now broken at the lake floor. Water level is being monitored and is now down approximately 4 1/2 feet from normal pool. To get to the deepest water and catch those bass or catfish, a canoe or kayak is recommended. Please private message me if you can help. If you haven't already signed the petition and you would like to, here is the link: https://www.change.org/HelpSaveOurFireProtection
NO DONATIONS PLEASE.
Thanks to all of the members who have assisted us and I hope to meet some more friends here

Hey Lori, my family lives in Pickens and would like to come fish your lake. I sent you a pm

Good Morning, absolutely you are all welcome!! I apologize for the delay in responding, we had my Dad's as well as my baby Sister's memorial service on the lawn by the lake Saturday and it was beautiful! Barbara, a new friend made on this forum, blessed us with a couple of songs on her saxophone. The drain stack was cut by the other Dam owner and he neglected to return the trash rack so now there is a turtle stuck in the drain....who knows, the level could rise yet again. The fight is not over in trying to save this body of water.

Keep posting pics like this and they will come.

Some fine catches there and a beautiful background.

Nice catch. What is the size limit on Bass where your at ? Gills are the best eating.

Hi Gary, I honestly don't know that answer, This is a private lake and we are trying to have the fish transferred or caught so there is no major fish kill when the lake is drained.

We are having some success with locals catching some winners! Here is a picture from last night, 4 bass and several bream! I am grateful they will be filling bellies instead of suffering from lack of water.

The craziest things that tried to get in my boat were in Texas. I was fishing a shallow to 40' dropoff channel in the middle of the lake for stripers and Blue catfish catching well, I caught something swimming about one hundred yard's from me dern it looks like a cat, as it got closer, I saw it's big ear's, it was a Bobcat swimming straight towards my Bass tracker wanting out of the water. There I was all my rods set out and anchored down. I jumped up pulled everything into the boat and lowered the motor trying to get onboard.. Once I a good distance from the cat he swim's on to shore. What in the heck would make a Bobcat cross a big open lake?! Dog's chasing it or whatever.

Wow, that's crazy! I am not proud of it, but it had to be done. This turtle was stuck on our Lake drain.
