If your looking specifically for a pier go to skyway or fort DeSoto. I live in Pinellas Park and I go to John pass area or Gandy south North side of roadway. I am hitting crappie fishing Monday at lake Seminole just to get my boat broke in. The bait shops are a North Gandy Blvd, you cross the bridge and they are on left shortly after just do uturn at the light. I live in Pinellas Park have been here for 22 years. I fish salt and fresh. Good luck

That would be great I don't get back until last week in October. I fish mostly saltwater in FL but have loads of experience in fresh water from my WV days and fishing the lakes of Maine.
