I have not been able to go to texhoma this winter yet. I really want to go though. I usually catch them striper dead sticking in deeper water with wind sock drifting.
I have, in may ways, deep down, envied fishing guides. I grew up on lakes, rivers, bay and gulf coast fishing and it has always been a passion. Happy fishing!!!
Uncle_T...great answer and very true. Thank you for that wisdom!!! Very well received. I will definitely remember that the next time I am looking at my fishing app.😊
I can't imagine the pressure of being a full time guide. Hats off to you man!!! You definitely are at a different level than me and a lot of them weekend fishing people.
Well, I was too. I spent a lot of time researching and testing different ones. I finally landed on Fish Points because I found the fish activity part and weather part very useful in planning my days on the water. I am limited on when I can go so I wanted to maximize my efforts in catching and not just fishing. It is pretty dang accurate. Last week it showed a spike in activity and the bite happened exactly in that window. 2 of us caught 41 stiper in 45 min. Hope this helps.
Thanks J for the info. I found the same thing in the Fishing Points app that I use. The fishing activities part of it is really useful in planning my trips on the water.
