I can't be the only one... as soon as I make a noise like I miss a fish....Grumpy Ol Vet's lure makes a bee-line for the spot I just missed..and he often catches it!

Anyone else have a partner like this?

Like most I was very young when I first started fishing….can’t really remember who exactly got me started…but then after getting back from the army I never really got back into it..I don’t why…lol. It wasn’t till I was in my early 50’s when my best friend of 50 years was dying of cancer and all he wanted to do was fish to the end…..….so fortunately I was able to retire early and for the next 4 months we went fishing almost every day…..the last few trips I had to pick him up and put him in the boat and the same to get him out …….I’ve been fishing as mush as possible since….I’m now 62……..love ya Tiny

Started the day off mending frogs , then mowed the grass, and said to myself I think I'll go fishn' since I haven't been out for awhile🙄 . It was raining when I got to the lake but no wind and warm got 6 tonight . My last two were at 9 pm and 9:09 what a way to finish up the day. The pics are a little blurry since I didn't have my camera on my holder because of the rain. So I was one handing it while holding up a 4.8# bass. That and the daylight was going fast and the camera was trying to focus after I hit the button. All but one on my tiny black frog ,and had really great hooksets deep and in the roof of the mouth( perfect) because I had to really drag them thru some slop and pads.🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸🇺🇲🇺🇲

That’s awesome Andy……I have caught some lunkers in the pads but so far only with weightless worm or lizard…..still haven’t gotten the strike on top with the frogs……🤷‍♂️……nice pics!!

Bodies Fished: Spectacle Pond (Littleton Ma)
Knopps Pond/Lost Lake (Groton Ma)

Spec Pond:
5:30am - 10:30am
Water Temp: 73f
# of Bass = 16
Baits Used: Magnum Trick Worm
5” and 3” Bush Pig, weighted and free fall. Colors used, Blood and P-seed.

Bass were fresh off the beds with fry clouds clinging to the emerging vegetation. Most Bass were under 2 lbs, With the largest at 2.8

Scattered bite from water lilies to open water. Fish were active with larger arcs found on graph suspended in deeper H20. Not certain but because of the empty beds and hatch, I believe those arcs are exhausted females recovering from the spawn stress.

Knopps Pond/Lost Lake
11:30am - 4:30pm
Water Temp: 74f
# of Bass = 10
Baits Used: 3” Hellimite and two tailed Arkie jig. Colors used, black with blue fleck and root beer

Again, the (bass) beds were empty with smaller males feeding. All fish were less than average but a great sign with the spawn being done with.. Just a matter of time before those bigger females have no choice but to search and destroy everything in its path. The season is just about to erupt here in Central Mass for Big Bass.. Very Exciting!!
