There’s a few residents there from my community. The family doesn’t visit or visit very little. It’s sad. Not sure about other States but NC is the worse. If you are placed in a Nursing Home you lose all or most of you assets. If it’s to much then you get no help at all.In NC it’s about money. NC has to be the most or one of the most greedy States in the Country. Yet I still love calling MC home.

Tell you what my man Maryland is also bad news . Any assets go to nursing home until there is maybe $2000 max left and then Medicaid pays the bill . Residents get allowance of $25 a month to spend for incidentals . Pretty bleak life at this point .

Anyone know results ?

I thought about getting in it, but in all honesty, the lake didn't look that promising .

Thanks for any information .

Carp love cicadas
I caught a ton on surface lures during cicada season a few years ago
Carp just slurped down lures like crazy and they are strong fighters

Hello Fishermen

Is bass fishing worthwhile at this little lake in Pa ?

Saw a tournament was held there week ago but didn't get much information.

Don't want to pull boat all the way up there if nothing happening .

Thanks !

Seems like everything is tough anymore .
Long Arm electric only . Marburg is 20 hp .
Marburg used to be good but those times are long gone so I sold my gas motor . Have never tried LA yet .
I only have electric - Ray Motor .
I fish Loch Raven and Pretty Boy .
Only easy fishing is spring time .

Thanks for that .
I "peeped out" the lakes this week and the smaller one is the place to fish in my mind .
Larger lake is very shallow seems like and access is limited to one side .
You do need a MD license and you sign up at the Community Center for the year .
That way they know who you are ( and also your vehicle ) when you are there .
Going to give it a try but it is a pretty good haul from where I live so hope to do well .
It is all "catch and release" which is fine by me - all I ever do .
The fort has been in private ownership for a few years and they are trying to bring in business there . The Community Center is very nice and contains a small museum and very impressive exercise equipment as well as a good looking basketball court .
A nice little cafe is accross from the Comm Center and serves a basic breakfast and lunch menu .
Will update my fishing success ( or lack of ) in following posts .
If anyone knows of any ponds worth trying in the area please let me know .

Has anyone here ever fished the lakes at Ft Ritchie ?

I am told that there are bass in them but they appear very shallow and you can only fish from the bank .

Thanks for any information .
