I bought an old rugged aluminum boat. Bass tracker pro 17, started to change the old nasty carpet, after removing carpet the floor was bad. After removing the floor the foam was rotten and waterlogged, after getting this deep into it I thought I’ll just give her a complete rebuild, used a come-a-long to left the boat off the trailer, gave the old trailer a couple coat of paint, then sanded the old boat inside and out down to bare aluminum. Replaced the old foam in bottom and sides of boat with new foam 2” thick. Rewired it with heavier wire and a new fuse block, new floor, painted inside of boat to match motor, biscuit color, outside of boat red, bottom of boat black. Two coats of clear coat on everything, replaced the old carpet with new EVA foam decking, extended the front deck back even with the console, added two dry hatches, took me around two weeks, and I think it turned out great. I’ll try to post some pictures before and after if I can.
