[quote=Randyhartford]Speaking of which -
I need prayers from you all. Myrna left Thursday evening, and I don’t know when or if she’ll be back. This is the sixth or seventh time she has done this, but only the first time she’s ever actually TOLD me she was leaving. She said she “needed some space”, and was going to stay at a hotel or somewhere for a few days and “decide what to do”. Said she’d pick up some meds for our dog at the vet and stop by with them on Saturday.
At about mid-afternoon, she showed up with a Sheriff’s Deputy and our daughter and SIL. Loaded up a bunch of her stuff, and our dog, and left.
She has a long history of lying, for no reason mostly, other than a few bad decisions she’s made, and I’m a stickler about honesty, so usually when I catch her in a lie, I get angry.
I’ve never laid a hand on her or anything like that, but that doesn’t stop her from telling everyone (including the Sheriff apparently) that she’s “afraid of me”. This cycle of leaving - returning has been going on since 1985, three years after we got married. The last time she left (about 5 years ago) she filed for divorce, but came back, just before the divorce was final, when I kept begging her to.
Her dishonesty and deceit is what nearly all our “fights” are about.
She admits ( most of the time) to lying but acts like she can’t help it. We’ve been to professional counseling numerous times - together, separately, and group, over the years (plus LOTS of praying) but it still seems to only help temporarily. She admits to lying all the time, but blames me for it.
99/100 of her lies are over absolutely meaningless, trivial things that are of no consequence, or would be better if the truth were told.
Anyway… please pray for us, if you will. I know there is nothing too big for God. I’ve tried all I know to try, and everything has failed. I believe it was God’s intervention that caused her to come back five years ago, and Myrna agreed and promised she would NEVER leave again…
Thanks for your prayers y’all.

Yes, the plus is in the fall month's the fish are headed back to Florida, so there's a good variety of fish in the surf, such as sea mullet(whiting), puppy drum, spots, bluefish, pompano and sea trout. Just gonna depend on the bait you use, etc. When the tides high with clean water, a sting silver will catch Spanish Mackerel, false albacore, that love to chase the glass minnows. You can call The Reel Outdoors tackle shop, or Bogue pier, and they can keep you up on what's biting, etc... good luck DD!

Thanks, you can also make a drive up to Oregon Inlet Bridge, they have a cat walk you can go out on, they catch a bunch around all that structure.

Welcome aboard Roho,
just run by the bait shop and they can steer you in the right direction, and live bait as well, unless you catch your own fiddlers and and fleas. Anywhere with pilings and structure will hold sheep's, as well as red and black drum, good luck !

You can also find it at Island Dr on weekends, a vendor sets up a little hut, right where you turn on Island Dr, can't miss it, or just buy some Fish Bites synthetic shrimp, it work's, last a long time on hook too, doesn't pull off easy, I think the pier sells it, also Reel Outdoors tackle shop.
