Good Morning all. 43* and sunny, going up to 53. Grinding the leaves I collected yesterday, turning them into lots of mulch for the gardens. Good way to get rid of a nuisance and build the soil at the same time. A little more wind (14) than I like for fishing anyway. Tomorrow is another day.

Hey Seacat, how are the oysters doing this year?
I remember coming over there from when I lived in Belhaven to get oysters. Introduced by BFF at the time to horse radish and ketchup mix for a sauce to go along with slurping down some mighty fine oysters.

Flytier just a thought to see if you are adding lime to your mulch pile as you are making it. We have an issue with lots of acidic soil where leaves have in them. Lime moves into your soil about 1 inch a yr . It makes everything greener plus allowing better mineral building in your soil. Good work and luck on staying ahead of the leaf battle this fall. Tight lines brother.
