It's worse in Idaho ....eastern MT far less. Harsher environment. Times changing. Glad I grew during glory years ..

I'm game! Let's get some ice..I hit Broot, Blaine, and a few sloughs. Used to do best at Monroe for pike, then access shutoff.

Appreciate the asking! You seem to be trout focused, then. Have had great pike spots over the years but the access is drying up. Used to hit Upper SW for years in summer. Not real familiar with spots on Lower.
Kokanee consumes my overall focus once it all locks up.

Red, as in paint. Nothing like a handsome fir splashed in banded red... "Yellowstone" does not depict NW Montana. That's down in Yuppieville.

Combination of several factors. Wealthy seasonal recreational residents...posting explosion. Developing a new species of "Red" trees.

Gary here....lamenting over rapid loss of access on many local lakes and sloughs here inwestern Montana. Lifelong native. Hard to watch.

Hi
I am Jim from Whitefish Montana. I like to know about fishing at Fort Peck reservoir , Tiber reservoir and the Flathead Valley.
Thanks

Hi, Jim. Gary in Kalispell. Wish I could help on Peck. Trying to plan ice time on local spots for pike. Land being posted heavy. Hard to find decent locations.
