I don't know how to contact "Gordon."
So, I hope he sees this message and replies.
Finally decided to try to chime in and say hi.
Very interested in learning what I can about Surf Fishing year 'round in the Charleston SC area.
What is biting when?
Migration patterns of what is moving through.
What tactics work best with which tide?
Keep the hooks in close or cast to the horizon?
I have read that our fish bite best when water temps are between 55-75 degrees. I also read that November - February really isn't good for Surf Fishing. That feels very conflicting to me, as our waters never goes below 55°.
So my question is for opinions about late fall and winter surf fishing around the Charleston SC area, and any hints and tactics that you would employ. Thanks in advance. Trying to learn all I can with hooks in and out of the water.
