Lots of people use braided mainline then a fluorocarbon leader. Maybe because of the expense of fluorocarbon? My reel only takes 100 yd so fluorocarbon isn't too expensive.
Did you ever throw top water baits and lures with it? Flys? Noticed it touts superior and quick sinking characteristics.
Getting into ultralight fishing. Northern Califorinia pond and stream trout, steelhead, to large mouth bass. Okuma Ceymar 10 reel and Daiwa presso 6'6" ultralight rod. Saw one guy who claimed to use Seaguar 4# STS fluorocarbon leader as main line. No additional leader line. Looked interesting. Any suggestions or comments appreciated.
