Words out that King Mackerel are starting to bite on these pier's!
Most of our catch was on a falling tide!
March 12 six years ago the mouth of the Cape Fear River between Caswell and Baldhead Island my buddy and I caught 105 Whiting which was on a Monday and Tuesday had a friend join us and caught 125 Whiting,never caught that many before or after those two days! I have caught many after that but not in those quantities.Water temperature not quite there yet !

Oak Island ICW nothing going on last week or two.
If it warms up a little bit l'm going to the surf at Oak Island and see if the Whitting and puffer fish are biting!

Fished the surf at Oak Island three or four times in the last couple of weeks with no luck but others were catching blues and a couple of whiting as far as the ICW not much going on but soon the trouts will start showing up around local boat docks,normally when water temperature gets colder!
Nice catch,had three for supper night before last!👌

When I lived in Charlotte I fished Lake Wylie mostly for crappies with jig under cork unless I was slinging a jig under a dock and there was very little current in the coves.Best day was 75 crappie on a stormy day by myself
No boat now,sold for safety reasons,was getting a little unstable on my feet.
Surf,Pier and dock fishing now but will still go fishing on friends boat 🚤
