Hi Jeff and Welcome and Thank You for Your Service to Protect our country. Im in Wilmington NC and there are two Piers here you can fish from that I have been to. Wrightsville Beach Johnny Mercers Pier and Kure Beach Pier.

Wow!! Thats a big fish. I never heard of a fallfish. But looking at it it reminds me of when I went fishing with my Dad when I was A whole lot younger we would catch something similar to that and it was called a sucker almost like a carp.

I heard there won’t be any flounder fishing early they put a ban on it but later in the year you can catch them. You might want to check for sure.
