RI Dept of Environmental Management has stocked the ponds with trout. It is nice to bend the rod again and catch some fish. It has been a long 4 months. Something to do until the stripers show up. Tight lines all

Been on good size blues and stripers for the past 3 weeks. Rain and big surfs are holding some good fish in Narragansett. Caught nice 31” blue and 38” striper. Good amount of under slot and a few slot stripers. Good release on all the stripers. Tight lines everyone.

Anybody catching stripers in RI? Got a few schoolies but tough to come by. The blues were hot for a while last week.

Bites been good on the west bay side for the past few days with the wind. Saw guys catching gator blues and a few guys keeping over slot stripers ~36-37”.

Just learned from the local fishing club that the the RI striper slot size has been adjusted to 28”-31”. Good luck and tight lines

The stripers are back!!! It’s been a long winter and the stripers age finally back. Caught my first striper of the season on 4/18/23 and 5 slots stripers on 4/27/23 from 29.5” to 36”. Bait fish are all over the place from Narragansett to Providence. Hoping for a great spring run. Tight lines everyone.

Nice fish. Here in RI it’s 28-35” and we don’t have a bonus tag option. They should keep it standard all along the east coast. These fish do migrate. Stay safe in the kayak and fish as long as u can. It’s a long cold winter on the east coast with only fishing memories to
keep us warm.

Braved the cold weather this past weekend and caught a few stragglers. Hands were frozen but was worth it. 30” and put up a good fight. Caught on a teaser and SP minnow rig. Bait was small
