I'm a first-time Dunedin snowbird looking for fresh water fly fishing and tenkara fishing locations in Dunedin/Clearwater. Thank you in advance for your recommendations!

The only time I have fished fresh water was at Tarpon Lake. I rented a kayak and went to catch some bass. I had a 5 foot gator following me for an hour. It's a different perspective in a kayak. Took kayak back mentioned to the rental guy about the gator. He said people from boats fed the gator marshmallows ....I never went back.
Tenkara fishing would be fun for salt water fish, trout and mackerel come to mind....I will be in Dunedin 28th of Dec...

Fred,
It sounds as though you are busy. Steelhead in Pulaski, my favorite time used to be in January and February, only real fishermen were on the water........those days are over. In Florida first of the year, back to NY in June.
I would like to get together and fish........have you had any luck on the Skyway piers.....
Stay warm,

Fred,
My name is Chief Sz, I fish the Causeway in Dunedin. The Causeway is the one that goes to Honeymoon Island.
Gushing was on the poor side last year because Irma blew the water out of St Johns Bay, greatly disturbing the fishery.
I fish there four or five days a week. Will be there at the end of year. I'm from the Binghamton area.
