They are much better than stocked Trout but nothing like Salmon from the ocean.
I was really excited about catching salmon in Lake Oroville and Almanor but surprised that they didn't compare with the Almanor trout as far as taste etc..
Just checked online, nice video showing how to change the handle from right hand to left hand
Look on line, i'm sure there is a video showing how to do it!!
Just your mention of large fish in Chabot. My buddies largest trout was 22.5 lbs caught fishing for bass with 6” swim bait. His largest bass was 18.8lbs. The difference in Chabot and Almanor is the fish in Almanor are prestine.
