Have never been to Oregon. Flew in & out of the Seattle Wa. Area several times... Naval Air Station Whidby Island. Never there long enough to do any fishing. Same with Adak Alaska.
The northwest has a lot of beautiful country...at least from the air.😃
I was stationed at NAS LeMoore, south & a bit west of Fresno in the 60's. The Kings river was excellent bass fishing at the time. The coast was about 3 hours away (on the roads at that time) surf fishing for strippers was productive, so it was worth it.
Then went to San Diego for a few years. Really enjoyed the fishing there.
Then to Maryland for 3 years. The Chesapeak bay was awesome for fishing.
Then back to Calif. Near San Jose and the delta was an easy drive. Caught a lot of strippers. Didn't even know there were salmon in the same waters😂🤣
Then to Corpus Christi Tex. For my last tour. Ran shrimp boats there for a short time, did a lot of fishing.
Retired & find myself in Wy.
So I'm game for just about anything. Would genuinely like to see some of your state. I've heard nothing but good things about it.

Small world. I was born and raised in Hanford, Lemoore and Exeter. I hosted Eastman lake for a couple years, my favorite bass lake in central Calif. After sixty years of the heat I came to Gold Beach to Host a campground and fell in love with the place. It really is God's country. Not just cuz of the water and mountains, but I know God brought me here. I'm getting to know Him better and my stress factor is almost non existent. Not too happy with the Government that runs this state, but at my age, I couldn't care less as long as the fish still bite and the deer and elk taste good. Ya all come see me and we'll see what is on the menu.

Retired Deputy Sheriff Sergeant from central California, now living in Gold Beach, Oregon. Been here five years and won't ever leave. Truly God's country. In case you have never heard of Gold Beach, it is where the Rogue river meets the Pacific Ocean. One of the best Salmon and Steelhead fishing places in the world. Anytime you want, look me up and I will show you some awesome fishing. I still have my Skeeter bass boat and there is a great bass lake near by, if that interests you also. Love to show you around, but be careful, you may not want to go back to Wyoming.

STHUD here and looking forward to ya all learning me something. Howdy from Gold Beach, Oregon. I live up on a mountain, overlooking the Rogue River. Came here four years ago to host Quosatana campground. Love it so much, the lil woman and I decided to make this our home. I am a retired (64) Deputy Sheriff and have gone from hosting my favorite Bass Lake in California, to fishing for Steelhead and Salmon here in Gods country. Although I have been fishing here for four years, I have a lot to learn. Big difference from fishing for the big mouths to fishing for these tasty treats. Looking forward to learning how to conquer these elusive Salmon and Steelhead. Any help will be appreciated and if there is anything I can offer to anyone here, feel free to pick what's left of my lil brain.
