Gotcha. My description was for any fish and if any are not as good as you want the milk will suck the flavor of the waterbody or river out of them.

Catfish tend ( like many white meat fish ) absorb the flavor of the lake pond or wherever they reside. Different types of catfish may vary in flavor but more importantly is this fact… they will taste differently pending on the water they live in. I target Channel Cats generally but they don’t all taste the same just like the rest. Blue cats from a pond in Mars County on Planet Jupiter will be completely different flavor than a Blue Cat from a Pond in Jupiter County on Planet Mars. No beer was added to this statement. I hope you got the information you were after. Jupiter and Mars were used as examples. Whatever location is the variable in flavors.

[quote=DCGravity]BobfromFremont, couldn't find anything stating a fish must be released after all the measurements and photos are take. Only found guidance on how to properly release the fish back into the water. Besides, since northern snakehead are an invasive species, Maryland DNR recommends killing them after catching. And if you've ever tasted it, you'd be wanting to get it on a hot saute pan asap!🎣🐟🍽😋[/quote. I stand corrected. Apparently there are only a couple of line classes that must be released alive, and only if it’s not contrary to law (as in this case). Thank You for the information

I have seen this advertised on TV for as long as I can remember. Now with rattle and some kind of wing thing. I have found parts of the kits in several garage sale tackleboxes. They are often the punchline of jokes. The only actual lure I found was taken over by my young grandson and never saw the water. For some reason, kids love them.
Has anyone ever actually used them with any success? Has anyone found them good enough to reorder? That being said, they are an incredible success in the merchandise marketing world. I can not even remember when they first showed up on TV. I think they are older than Bill Dance if that is possible.

I bought some. Ordered 1 regular kit, and 1 trophy kit. They sent me 2 kits each, and charged me for them. I told customer service 1 trophy kit was missing 12 rattles, and he told me I have to buy another kit for that. Since I bought them on my debit card I did a charge back with my bank, and kept the lures, and their money. I priced the rattles at amozon they were .03 cents a piece at the time, and I think I had to buy 100 at the time

Yeah buddy! We nickname them dragons around here. Wonder if he fileted and cooked up after all the official measurements were taken.

I believe IGFA rulers dictate fish must be returned to water unharmed

I realize the newspaper(yes we still like to read a newspaper over breakfast) and TV media do stories about firework accidents to try to get people to stop using fireworks.

For me it's comedy about how stupid people can be. I have no sympathy for those that injur themself with fireworks. I do have sympathy for other people hurt by their stupidity.

A local story in the paper this morning was about a guy who had gotten some big fireworks. He had one with a tube that shot an explosive into the sky. He lit it but it didn't go off. Guess what happened? He looked down the tube and it went off.

In two seperate incidents somebody's fireworks set the neighbors house on fire. Idiots.

Picture a home in a nice neighborhood. Friends and family were sitting on the front lawn facing the street. The host was putting on a fireworks display on the front sidewalk for all to enjoy. The parents put the small kids in front to make sure they got a good look. At one point something went wrong, oh oh , fireworks starting flying all around as parents ran to grab their kids and everyone exited the front lawn. The fireworks stash was in the driveway behind a parked car. Oh oh, the stash caught on fire and then the car did too.

Hope you all had a pleasant and safe fourth of July.
I realize the newspaper(yes we still like to read ... (show quote)

I have a friend who likes to set off fireworks on New Years Eve. One year one of his guests got into my bag, got out a rocket with the stick broken, put it on the ground with it pointed at people, and LIT it. Most normal people would have learned from that, but not him, he got into my bag a little later and pulled out a m-100 and asked “What’s this”? Upon learning he had a 1/4 stick of dynamite in his hand, he freaked out, and I asked him “Who gave you permission to put your hand in My Bag. I gave him a stiff talking to ending with “You put your hand in in my bag again, and bad things are going to happen to you”
