For the past 4 years I have spent 3-4 months right on the beach in PCB. I have watched surf fishermen daily and can say I've seen only 4 or 5 fish caught the entire time. One guy caught a sand shark, two caught skates, and one caught a small bluefish, and the other caught a small flounder. I have seen several methods: one guy used a remote control boat to take the line way out past the second set of breakers. He caught nothing. One guy used a kayak to paddle out and drop his line; he caught nothing. The guys who just threw it out as far as they could caught the fish. Moral of the story: winter is not a productive time for surf fishing. But it's fun to enjoy the sun, drink some beer, and entertain the possibility of something biting your bait. And forget about the high tech tricks.

Check the gas can for bad fuel or sludge. Most of it ends up in the carburetor and causes half of the motor problems.

In Florida I understand you cannot Open Carry. You need a CWC permit unless…believe it or not…you have a fishing rod in your car! That’s right. You can have a gun in your car IF YOU ARE GOING FISHING. Tell me it isn’t so.
