Headed to Brookville on Friday. The first time taking my boat. Anyone have a recommendation for a launch site thats sells bait ear by?

I went there last july for a week and launched at the dnr site next to the gas pump/stor/bait shop. All they had were some mostly dead wax worms. Better look somewhere else. Good luck

You could maybe use the smoke tint film for headlights and cut to fit

Two counties north has 101 lakes. Grew up on one of them. Plenty of water around

I use spinning rods so i use one of those curly wrist bands with a caribine that hooks on to the shank of the reel. Fast, easy and not a bother

Hi guys and gals. Just soliciting some ideas here. My teen son came storming back into the house after fishing a nearby lake (actually more like a 20 acre pond) visibly upset because he accidentally knocked his favorite combo out of the jon boat and into the water. He said he spent the next hour jigging for it to no avail. So...what kind of Safety measures should he take going forward to prevent this from reoccurring?
1) Rod buoys (styrofoam) from BPS - bought some a while back but for some reason he doesn't want to use them. Maybe now he will!
2) Rod leash or lanyard you attach to your wrist or the gunwale. Is there such a thing? A couple downsides I see with this is if you switch hands or switch rods alot, it could really be a nuisance.
3) ?
4) ?
5) ?

Thanks in advance!

I always try to have one pole with me on the boat with a practice plug on it so i can get their attention by landing it right next to them. They usually get the hint and move on

Indiana did away with their lifetime license years ago. At 65 you buy your last one and have to have it with you anytime you are fishing. (I guess they don’t trust their own computer system that would let them look you up)
