Anyone fishing the basin===have been sick and unable to go
Launch is shallow---go out about 100yds and you will hit the channel. I fish out of a 14' with a 40 merc, this is no bass boat spot
There is a house at the lake over the levee, you have to pay $ 3.00 to launch. Plenty of parking. Launch and go left as far as you can. Fish the cypress trees to the left. If your still lost call me 985-870-9505
Fished this past Thursday out of Charenton Beach with my grandkids. Ended up with 20 bass all 1-2 pounds. Went left from landing all the way to Granavolle Cove and fished the cypress trees. Most were caught on a bone colored top water. Did manage a few nice sac-a-lait on tube jigs with gold spinner. All in all a good outing with the kids. Looks like the water is still expected to keep going down. Will try next week around Duck Lake area. Have to dodge the rain most of next week.
Really can't answer that question--most never get released.
Will try with the next fish fry--Thanks
Need a recipe on the pups and slaw--love them both. Doesn't matter what it cost to fish, retired, what else you gonna do.
What location are you fishing===I am in Houma and usually either go to Charenton Beach landing or Centerville. Not looking for the exact spot, know how I am about a good spot. I fish mainly topwater and spinner bait.
Harris, Whats the Basin looking like
Buy another bottle, seems to work for you. many people don't know what works for them.
Harris what determines the water level in the lower Atchafalaya Basin. Still looking for Mossey Lake, any ideas.
Probably Charenton Beach or further east. Do you know where mossy Lake is. Used to pull over 40 years ago.
When do you think the basin will be fishable?
