You need to PM FourchonLa. He should be able to help you.
Welcome to the stage, neighbor. Right now is bad, not for fishing but the water is real low. Henderson lake is doing quite well just north of the I-10 bridge in the north flats. I fished the Bayou Amy this yr, with very little success. I don't even think you can get into Beau Bayou, or Gravenburg, water too low. Big Alabama is real low, best time is 12 -14' and its right at 10.5'. Too hot for me at this time, hoping for next week.
Fished this past Thursday out of Charenton Beach with my grandkids. Ended up with 20 bass all 1-2 pounds. Went left from landing all the way to Granavolle Cove and fished the cypress trees. Most were caught on a bone colored top water. Did manage a few nice sac-a-lait on tube jigs with gold spinner. All in all a good outing with the kids. Looks like the water is still expected to keep going down. Will try next week around Duck Lake area. Have to dodge the rain most of next week.
I know where Jeanette is, even Charenton Beach, but where do you launch at.
There is a house at the lake over the levee, you have to pay $ 3.00 to launch. Plenty of parking. Launch and go left as far as you can. Fish the cypress trees to the left. If your still lost call me 985-870-9505
Found it, but the water is very shallow, map showing 2' or less at the launch. Did you have any issues?
Launch is shallow---go out about 100yds and you will hit the channel. I fish out of a 14' with a 40 merc, this is no bass boat spot
Same here, 14' with a 40 Tohatsu with a console. A bit heavy, Hanko bass boat!
