Yes it is!! When I saw my first Rattletrap,I said the same thing!!Just a larger Sonic!!
A lot of great old stuff!! I had s bunch of them in the late 70s.Killer Fred Arbogast stuff Heddon, and Creek Chub.!!Punkinseed and Crazy Crawler are a few of my favorites!!Did I see a Lazy Like in there??A couple of Creek Chubs also!!??
I've never hsd problems with them. And for the price, damn good!!My experience says, inexpensive and cheap are not the same.Everyone gets on the Ugly Stick band wagon, for good reason.I feel the same way about Kast King, except Kast King is newer, and a bit more high tech, more carbon,if that's what you like.Really you can't go wrong as far as I'm concerned.I have 4 rods and 4 reels, never had an issue, broken tip from a closet door, does not count!!!!
In Va. Water mocciassians don't play,BUT as has been stated, they are not in attack mode, generally!!!
I have Speed Demon baitcaster, love it ,and a Speed Demon Rod.Didn't buy them as a combo, but love both of them.No problems, compares well with all I've used before.I fish on a budget not to tight, but don't like to waste money on overly expensive gear.Love the Shimano,Lew's and Abu equipment, but I don't fish for a living,so any setup over 400 dollars is overkill,it doesn't catch more fish than a 100 dollar combo.Fishing is getting a little pricey when you consider the fish don't care how much your equipment cost before they bite.Never heard of a fish that went back and told the others he was hooked on 500 $ setup, because he dont bite no "cheap shit" i only get hooked on the best .That said ,Kast King is a great value TO ME!!They work well, dependable and catch fish.!!That's what counts right? Oh ,and the price is great!!!
I had one like the one on top,it was called a sputterfuss!?Think it was Creek Chub.
Sinner, the "money green"scent works best, "essence of wallet" is my backup, all year round scent!!!
Good tips, except the rod is still okay
Guess I've been lucky all mine have broken just below the metal part of the tip.Ive replaced 3 of them with no problems. One with the original tip, the other two with Fujis from a kit, with the epoxy that comes with the tops!!Easy and fun actually. The rods were fine after also.See You Tube for visual instructions!!
Sounds like you did not have " pressure"as you spooled the reel.A pull against the reel as you reel it on allows it to be " tight" , so that later it does not dig in when winding. Simple but true.Nothing major with your problem, went on to lose the first time!!
18,10 spinning rest baitcasting.Varity of manufacturers and price ranges, none really cheap but economical!!
Wish I could have that problem!!Shimano the easy choice, but hard to lose either way.
There are several great articles out right now about that subject. The market has several great rods in the 40-75 dollar range that you can pair with a ton of great 100 reels to make a good combo, that work's and will last a couple years!!And affordable to beginners or any budget!!!
