That's why it's so essential that a person keeps a rod and reel with a little bit of tackle close by at all times. A person never knows when the urge will hit you. Fish On!!

1Oldboat42,
I totally agree & comply. Ya never know when.
Quite a few decades ago, it started out with my basketball always in my trunk looking for school basketball courts to play. This was back when school properties were open. Seems like 10-15 years now all school properties are fortresses, not to be penetrated.
Now I drive around seeking golf course water hazards. Ya never know when.

Jar,
A testament to commitment.
Something which seems to have become a bit less prominent these days.
You are blessed and bless.
Don't forget the photos of those river fish.

All,
I'm stuck in the SoCal drop-shot and Texas riggedd worms for my large mouth hunting mode.
Want to switch it up to crank baits and Kast Masters.
My questions:
1. When do you tie crank baits straight onto the lure, assuming it usually includes a split ring.
2. When, if ever, do you include a snap (no swivel, simple snap) for easy quick changes?
3. If you add a snap, when do you add a swivel?
Any guidance appreciated.
However productive, I'm just sick of my plastic presentations.
Thanks,
Stephen

Tony,
Here's a local link which may provide you some valuable input.
https://www.sdfish.org or
https://www.sdfish.org/search.php?search_id=unreadposts.
For the next month or a bit more, the SD County reservoirs are at their peak for Springtime largemouth fishing.
Suggest when looking for some guidance, make it clear if you are a shore fisherman, kayak, tube or boat.
Best luck to you and please don't forget the pictures.

So on my way home a few days ago I made a few stops at the lake to try for pike off the bank. I didn't get any hits from pike, but I did catch 3 of what I think are Walleye fry. They were all about 2" long. I snagged them with a jerkbait. There must have been hundreds of them right next to shore. I would have thought if these were from last year they would be a lot bigger than this. As most info says 1 year old eye's are from 4" to 6" and I don't see how these are this years hatch as the lake water temp is still in the low to mid 40's. Anyone here know walleye spawning habits?

Iā€™ll answer your question if I can understand it what do you mean by no platform

Rheatown,
Thanks for continuing the dialogue. I appreciate it.
From my understanding through time, each Party at their respective National Conventions, during e******n years when they officially endorse their candidates for office, document their party's "platform." Though I can't currently define it; a platform seems a high level statement of future administration goals and policies on how to get there.
As a leftie who has watched each party's convention since I was 15, I particularly noted in both 2016 & 2020 the Republican Party offered no (future targeting) "platform." I believe first time ever.
From my point of view this speaks for itself.
The platform is the basis of what your goals stand on.
Twice in a row, the Republican Conventions offered nada.
Tight lines always.
Going fishin' tomorrow.
