I've used bran flakes crushed and I use honey as a sweetener and binder. Works well for carp I don't know about anything else.

When I was pulling my boat out of the water yesterday about noon, another fellow was getting ready to launch his. He said, "This is when they (crappies) start biting. It was a full moon last night." I have never heard of such a thing. Anyone else heard of it?
I fish for crappies. Wasn't any good last year, but this year is better. Use chartreuse jig.
