Used to fish the Au Sable River back in the 60s with my Grandfather. Went back a service road for the power wires and camped. That section between the dams was assume. Not much fishing pressure back then. Then, later on, fished with grand parents and parents at the Old Orchard campground. Close to Lumberman Monument. Not sure if the campground is still functioning. That was on a different section between dams. Used to buy Canadian crawlers 3 dozens for a dollar. Good memories.

I have the Lifetime Tamarak and have mounted my fish finder transducer inside the hall. I used some electrician putty to seal it to the bottom of the Kayak. So far, it is holding. I believe the water temperature is the biggest item that does not report accurately in the beginning. It takes a while to adjust through the plastic. I use the Garmin Striker 4 and I believe the data on the screen is pretty accurate. Still trying to determine when I see a fish on the screen, exactly where is this fish; behind me, to the left, right, where?

I've tried both those lakes by boat, but have struck out. Haven't tried that kayak yet. May need to meet up and have you show me the ropes.
