Great fishing at the AuSable River in Oscoda Michigan. 5# 20 inches. I used a red and black 1/4 oz spinner bait. Some of the best fishing in upper Michigan, close to Lake Huron. I caught this bad boy on my last day of vacation.

Nice catch. Smallmouth are my favorite. I go to Drummond Island each year for smallmouth and perch, plus I’ll be going back in September for perch. Thanks for the picture.

Nice smallish. I used to fly fish the AuSable with my Dad in the early 70s. No smallies back then. But that was at a put in at Chase Bridge Road. I believe that was Roscommon County. Strictly trout in those days.

Used to fish the Au Sable River back in the 60s with my Grandfather. Went back a service road for the power wires and camped. That section between the dams was assume. Not much fishing pressure back then. Then, later on, fished with grand parents and parents at the Old Orchard campground. Close to Lumberman Monument. Not sure if the campground is still functioning. That was on a different section between dams. Used to buy Canadian crawlers 3 dozens for a dollar. Good memories.
