Last year my wife purchased 3.5 glasses to assist me in tying hooks. In a wild color so I can find them. This has improved my fishing and reduced the stress when you could not see the eye of the hook when you are trying to use 2# test leader.
Best yet. Thank you for the rescue and the story.
About two years ago I went thru the same dilemma and selected a Okuma Classic Pro XP reel. All the features of a good salmon reel but for trout etc. You really need to look at this reel. I am more than pleased. Now the rod is another problem. I went through lots of rods. Finally selected one of my old Ugly Stick Tigers 6 foot fast tip, but not too soft. Able to use 1/16 oz and up lures. Good luck please let us know what you selected.
Nope, in fact I have never thought of it. Never named any guns either, but used to deer hunt with a guy who named his rifle "Meat in the pot."
Mexico years ago dove hunting and taking a morning off for bass fishing. But that was before the drug cartel took over. As I remember the bass were not very large, but it was almost impossible to cast without a hit. Good luck.
I have a split-bamboo rod with four tips. I would never recommend for any fish over 2 pounds.
Take a look at the Phenix Mirage line of rods.
Nice bass. I have never fished Perris but I often wondered about the fish. It is a beautiful lake just tucked into a couple of ridges.
Do they still have the carp archery shoot?
MY DEEPEST APOLOGY, I use my Okuma for trolling with leaded line and a 8# leader; I use Daiwa LGLT 1000D for stream fishing with 4# test. I have to much on my mind. I need a good fishing trip. I will be glad when 2020 ends.
I use an Okuma Pro XP --- and 4# line for stream fishing. The others mentioned are also excellent reels. Really depends on what kind of fishing he does.
Good idea but my wife no longer allows me on a ladder. Most of the time I do sneak and use my ladders but I would have a problem explaining an overhead fishing rod rack. Plus I like to keep my reels separate.
Sorry guys I just checked Skechers they no longer carry my brown bag. Just some baby blue bag without side pockets something that a fisherman would never own.
Bad new sorry guys. But I just checked Skechers and they no longer have my brown canvas bag. Just some baby blue bag that no fisherman would own. Lacks outside pockets etc.
Depends on what, where and how you are fishing. For trout stream fishing I gave up on the fishing vest and went to a canvas pack with an open top with a flap. It has pockets on the out side and enough room for lunch etc. Light weight and washable. I purchased it at Skechers shoe store. Another feature that I like is the magnet clasps for the pockets. I try to prepare the evening before to make sure what what I will need for the next morning.
