Trolling Rod & Reel

I do a lot of trolling for Striper and Trout with a lead core long line and I am looking for a good rod & reel that can handle that capacity of lead core and a soft tip rod. Need to find a pair of them.
Open to all suggestions.

About two years ago I went thru the same dilemma and selected a Okuma Classic Pro XP reel. All the features of a good salmon reel but for trout etc. You really need to look at this reel. I am more than pleased. Now the rod is another problem. I went through lots of rods. Finally selected one of my old Ugly Stick Tigers 6 foot fast tip, but not too soft. Able to use 1/16 oz and up lures. Good luck please let us know what you selected.

many years ago I went out on a 6pack fishing out of cape may I use a heavy Bait runner once I got it down on how much I had to let the biger ones run before setting the hook. But I cought the most on the boat the keepers.
