Stop in to Lopstick lodge in Pittsburg nh above Colebrook and ask them for printed sheet that describes trout ponds in area. A bunch of them up there. If you fly fish try Connecticut river. Fly fishing only section is excellent

Good Luck
Look up on google in kittery Maine for bamboo fly rods. There is gentleman there would builds them and is a true expert. He fixed a bamboo rod that dates to 1920-30s for me at an incredibly reasonable price. He could refinish your rod as well as and rewindings etc. I just can’t remember his name. Brain fart sorry.
He also teaches small classes where you can build a bamboo flyrod
Thank you fishyballs. Appreciate the info
Thanks Henry.
I get all their notifications, emails and reports but like to also here from folks who have had recent fishing experiences and suggestions
Thanks for info.
Maybe the heat this week will bring them up
I fished Connecticut river in Pittsburg nh last weekend. River had minimal flow but caught a lot of trout. Nice brookies to 18” and lots of smaller brookies, rainbows and browns. Mostly on small dark nymphs.
How is striped bass fishing at Plum Island recently. Have they moved into Merrimack river
