No fish but at least I tried.

My rod and line wouldn't handle papa bear. Would be great to land something I can photo. Not sure what the setup will be on a river cruise tour. Not sure how much I can lift with my rig.

How to store pre-tied lures on a leader?

But is there a trick/technique for storing multi-hook lures on a leader?

I'm talking something like this:

You can't really wrap it around a pool noodle, like an individual hook. And when I try to use regular tackle boxes with compartments for storage, the leader just springs back all over the place before I can close the box.

There has to be a way, but I just can't think of anything.

Leave the leader with a snap on the end on your line. Don't have a leader on each lure. Or if you don't wants to use a snap just tie a quick loop knot to add your lure.

I live in Tampa part of the year. It has been slow fishing since I came back in October. I am told it will pick up as it cools down. I live on a cove near the 275 bridge and last year I used to catch lots of trout. Nothing but catfish and an occasional snook so far this year. Where in Fla are you?

Shore fishing Lexington Michigan
Thanks my wife is from Port Huron. I used to windsurf across to Sarnia and occasionally under the Blue Water bridge when I was younger. Will be visiting and staying in Lexington for a few days at the end of the month so will take my light weight travel rod and see if I can get any action.
