Has anyone had any luck with Kokanee this spring. Where did you find them, How Deep, what bait worked best? I will be putting my Pontoon boat in at slip A24 Spring Shores Marina this Saturday 5-18-24. Any infprmation you can give me will be much appreciated.

Bob: Give Byron Artrip a call 937 572 9838, he and his wife Crystal fish Luck Peak for Kokanee and are quite successful. He runs a fishing float business (Artrip Aerofloat) Tell him you got his number from his father in law Doug.

He’s a little beauty Doug, listens well but quite a handful. Only 2 years old but is doing quite well on our stocked pheasants. Son Ben takes him to northern Maine and he’s caught onto the grouse pretty well. Would love to have their energy.

My Brit won an obedience school trophy with me , he was from field trial stock and VERY ENERGETIC! I’ll never forget ole Red!

What a beautiful Brittany, I know he loves the snow! Had one for several years 1968-81, never ever lost a downed bird of any kind!

As a retired RN I can assure you that no one is restrained just for shits and giggles! He either had no family member to sit with him or there weren’t any.

He looks quite a bit like the Britt I cherished years ago (68-81) Lonesome Red, cause he liked to hunt by himself. From field trial stock and he could sure cover a lot of ground! Never ever lost a bird, quail nor pheasant that I knocked down.He was tireless!

VERY difficult decision to make and situation to deal with. My heart goes out to you for (at 81) I’ve encountered this several times and it is never easily done!

Was out to Boise for 10 days (6 September-16) we fished hard 3 separate days, marked a million fish 20-35’ but caught only 3. Water too warm, fish there but very uncooperative! Had at the very least, 15+ hours trolling

Check out electric boat trailer winches in Amazon. They have both hand and electric on same unit for under $200. Sure beats cranking!

You might give a call to Byron Artrip 937 572 9838 as he lives within 5 miles of the reservoir and fishes it regularly. Tell him Doug advised the call. Good luck fishing!
