I’m about 1.5 - 2 hours from Lake Mead/Colorado River but don’t fish it much. For good fishing there it seems a boat is needed. We do get some good sunsets though. And there is an RV park here where we taught our Grandson to fish.

Thank you Whitey and I hope someone can give me some advice. My cousins are really excited about this and I would love for them to catch some fish.

I will be coming to Colorado this July help my cousins to learn to fish and will be fishing either Dillon Reservoir or Grand Lake area. Most likely the Grand Lake area. Could anyone give me some advice on what to use lure or bait wise& which area would be best for taking someone who has never fished before? I will be teaching them casting tying hooks on etc. The only fishing I have done there is the stream going through Winter Park/ Fraser area and St Louis Creek years ago flyfishing so I can use all the advice I can get.
