Loading spinning reel - How much backing to put before braid

If in doubt, go to YOUTUBE! I asked the same question, do you put monofilament on before braid. Their answer is yes ( Roland Martin Professional Bass Fisherman), to keep braid from spinning inside your reel. But, don’t take my word, or especially these other two replies, go to YOUTUBE for your answer.

I have never heard of walleye being caught in Lake Michigan. If there is a particular spot, please advise. Mostly, I am looking for inland lakes, streams, and, or ponds. Thank you for your quick response. I sure do appreciate it, and any other folks that could suggest areas of interest.
