I will be spending a week on Hammocks Beach on Bear Island NC in September. I hear that the red drum fishing during that time is outstanding. However I was born and raised on the california coast and fished it my entire life, but this type of fishing is a different animal to me. Can anyone give me any tips on this? Anyone fished here? I'd love to get some stories and a little instruction. Thanks.

hi all.. New here. Thanks for having me. I just bought an old Horrocks Ibbotson Mohawk Rainbow 1407 1/2 fly rod, and can't find any dates of production for this particular model. Its in great shape. Worth isn't that important to me, but I'd love to know how old it is, and if anyone has any testimonies about their H-I rods. Thanks!
