I haven’t been here in a year or so. I’m just checking in to see if anyone is doing any open-water, inland fishing in Central Maine (and if you’re having luck).

Anybody having any good luck? I having been fishing Cobbosee, Jimmy Pond, the Outlet, Thorofare, Alford Pondand, Sheepscot River and, I haven’t caught anything but teeny, tiny bass and white perch.
Just use a homemade, 4 or 6lbs snell for hook, leader for lure and a responsive bobber ( I like a Comal weighted, hard foam oval). You’ll get dinner quick if they’re biting, that is:D
Thanks for the nice description of the Androscoggin in NH! I would not try that one alone! Since I’m in Central Maine, I have a few closer wild rivers. They are unfortunately still too cold:(
Has anyone tried for trout yet around here? I tried a couple of weeks back but Cobbosee was still in winter.
I’m anxious to get out for some Trout fishing. Still waiting for ice-out in Central Maine.
