Had a small landscape company before retirement. The exmark with kawasaki engine is an excellent choice. Kubota which i had was great but expensive. The deer are good but newer models have too many moving parts that others don't need and break. If your handy, the deere could work for you.
Also Kohler has gone under. Another company has bought all remaining parts and sells but engines are not the same.
If any of you people are interested in stripers, there is a web site called MFCC. A lot of it is free and he puts out a ton of info about plugs, lures and baits. This is about fishing cape cod canal and surf but the info is great.
Hello fellow northerner. What brings you out of beautiful new England. Try looking for the state parks in your area. You can fish, camp swim. Shore fishing is not that plentiful in this area. Lots of water, just access is tough. Much of shore line is private. But be careful in water here. Snakes, and not the good kind are everywhere. And gaters.
Now I'm hungry. Any chance you could provide the ingredients, perhaps some fish, then invite us all over for fish fry?
I am amazed at the size of the water bodies here in Texas.
Your doing it right, its the fish who are wrong. You want to learn ebb tide times. They say best times 2° before to 2° after peak tide. Watch the birds if in daylight. They'll tell you where and when fish are running. Also try to match the bait to whats running. Local bait store can be great help.
Wife and I had covid at Christmas. I did ok but wife ended up in hospital. Its scary watching someone you know turning blue and you can't do a thing about it. Now we both just got shots. Forget the politics, save a loved one. Get it done
Where was that video when I was learning. Ofcourse when I was learning there was no internet.
Article in paper about that subject today. It seems when water hits 50° it starts spawning. Fish will come in to rivers then. But I think its all catch and release. At that time. In Mass we wait for herring run. Stripers follow them up coast
Two things I can suggest.
1 go to Cabelas or bass pro, local shop. If you buy the line, they spool it for you for free.
2 If you do it yourself, the line comes off the spool one way better than other. If its jumping off, it has a twist to it. When this happens to me. I would throw line in canal, let tide take it all off and then rewind. Makes it good.
Depending on the type of fish your after. A bait runner is great and ugly stick for beach fishing. Caught many stripers and blues with this combo. But look into fly rods for salt water. Pricey but lots of fun and produce fish.
Thanks guys. I've noticed many nice bodies of water but shore access seems limited. Great if you gave a boat
Looking for some fishing areas near sachse that you can access from shore
