Bluegill? Well now, that is strange! There's already illegally introduced bass. What's next--snapping turtles? Allegator Gar? Well, so much for the premier trout fishery it used to be. It really is a shame.....
Glad to. My boy were there in late June and all though debris was nasty we worked out kayaks from Jasper point down to the resort. Produced quite a few small bass working that shoreline. Now my daughter and her husband were up on Crane Prairie and she was catching of all things bluegills. Who the hell!
A few years back I was fishing there and a guy brought into camp a fish he wondered what it was. I told him to find an ODFW official to get it weighed. It was so large it was almost difficult to recognize as but it was definitely a crappie probably pushing 5 lbs. Good luck!
Yes I was, kinda suspected that. Drove around last year about this time and it was pretty low. Hope that doesn't kill off the muskie population. Thanks
Haven't read this years regs. yet, your right always changing. Not aware of any sturgeon in the Deschutes, but outside it's mouth in the Columbia. FISH ON!
Maybe it's time for Oregon to alter the regulations. Snag one and done. However dog salmon aren't good for anything but dog food or halibut bait. In Ak. snagging is allowed after a certain date. Or just hook 'em in the mouth.
