How’s the rock fishing and what’s the best to catch them on?
From the rocks, if you use green crab and you throw about 10-15 feet away from the rocks, taug is running right now and some with some pretty good size so don’t try 7-10 lb test line, 15-20 will work fine, about 30-40 feet past the rocks with a heavy sinker and tied off about two foot up you can use bunker and live eels for rockfish or use live minnows or squid for flounder, I’ve also caught drum from the rocks so it’s a crap shoot and just figure what you want to catch and fish, don’t forget to jig your line!!! Enjoy your day…
Been an avid saltwater fisherman all my life and trying to master the flounder catching and any reasonable information is truly appreciated! I have been fishing off the jetty rocks and it’s definitely a hit or miss situation so we got a small boat and I am looking for pointers to find the fish and what it takes to get them to bite! Thanks to one and all for your words of wisdom.
Looking for current information on best areas and bait to fish from a boat at Indian River inlet!
