Been an avid saltwater fisherman all my life and trying to master the flounder catching and any reasonable information is truly appreciated! I have been fishing off the jetty rocks and it’s definitely a hit or miss situation so we got a small boat and I am looking for pointers to find the fish and what it takes to get them to bite! Thanks to one and all for your words of wisdom.

Hi Lheesh - jigging 3"-4" Gulp swimming mullet or grub (white or chartreuse) is my go-to and seems to always produce. Good luck and tight lines!

Best thing to do is get a chart off say, Indian River bay. Look it over and try to find area where you have an area of shallow water surrounded by deeper water. Drift the boat across rhis area using said strips or killifish minnows for bait. Be sure to give the fish enough time to get the bait in there mouth.
