Looks like you had a great day. What lake were you n?
Welcome to the site. I have fished Monroe a lot in the past years. What type of fish are you looking for. I’m out of Indianapolis by the way.
What ever type of bait you choose. You can use a small round bobber or a small slip bobber. Set it at the depth you want. Through it out slowly reel it in and just give it a small tug as if you were using a jug. Works great if there’s a lot of structure in the water. Sometimes it’s just a slow and easy reel and nothing else.
Was she your guide for the day? If so, where does charter out of?
I’m jealous of those trout. Can’t wait to get out this weekend.
I’m planning a trip to Dogwood Lake. How is the fishing there. Heard be careful, lots of trees in the water.
My biggest fear is snakes. Been fishing many times and see them all the time near the banks. I go to the furthest point in the boat. I keep a paddle out to smack the water to scare them off. It seems to scare the fish away also.
That is a good piece of advice. I would also go broke.
I agree 100 percent. My son in-law is in the army. I know what he and my daughter, my wife and I go through. When he’s on a mission. I back the green.
I’m know where you went. I live on the west side of Indy. Did you fish the front pond or the back pond. 2-3 times a year the DNR stock the back pond. They stock it with catfish and trout. Good luck if you go again.
I have a fishing trip plan with a guide. On Good Friday. Just was wondering if anyone has been doing any crappie fishing in those lakes. We used this guide last year and had great success. Thank you for any info.
That’s a great way to start the year out.
Was diagnosed with melanoma 11 years age. I wear uv gloves, shirt and pants. Along with SPF-50 being my best friend. Do t want to go through that again.
That’s a nice crappie any where. Congratulations
It all looks great. Fire up the grill and get it going.
