Hope that is true for Illini on Friday & NE has all the TD’s
Try to take my grandkids fishing one on one in Slow Poke (my Jon boat named by my youngest granddaughter). The 4 youngest were all able to go before school starts and all caught fish. A couple even caught more than grandpa. Great time actually greatest of times. Enjoyed lunch after each excursion since temps got up in high 90’s.
The white bass run at the inlet used to be great. Fisherman were lined up on either side of the inlet using dol flies catching a white bass if not every cast every 3rd or 4th cast. Should be close to time for the run. Good luck.
Try the Interstate sand pits along I-80.
Bass, crappie, blue gill
Congrats to grandson. My grandson out fishes me all the time. What lake produced this fish?
If you’re after catfish try hot dogs cut in about 1/3 or 1/4 put 1/2 pkg in ziplock bag with red jello packet, garlic pwdr, the other half in the same mixture only with cayenne. 1/2 a pickt of jello in each ziplock. Catfish love it.
Thanks to all suggestions. I will share them with my son
My son is thinking he wants to get back into fishing. He’s been too busy with kids activities for several years. What would be a good bait casting combo for someone just getting started again. I usually use spinning gear but he’s kind of interested in baitcasting. Probably staying in the $100 to $125 range if possible.
Not too bad fried. Best to put in tank of clean fresh water for a few days and feed a little corn before clean and frying. We feed corn to every thing in Nebraska before eating.
Thanks Billy Bob
I be sure to give that a shot. Have a good one
What do you find most success with in early spring. I just retired and trying to get back to what works. Finally able to spend time fishing again
Yip. This hard water stuff is way too much for me.
Great. I usually fish in the lakes around Lincoln. Yankee Hill is always good
Can’t wait for hard water to go away. Looking for early spring bass fishing techniques.
