A friend of mine orderEd a dozen of biscuits at McDonalds and the employee had to ask the manager what that was.

I forgot to mention that vitamin B 12 has helped to relieve the pain in my legs from the nerve damage. It might be worth a try.

Do a search for Nubax. Apparently they aren’t selling it on their site anymore. They seem to push the inversion table. This device works good and you can apply the amount of pressure that you want.

I had severe lower back and leg pain for many years. (Both legs) I tried everything including chiropractic, acupuncture, decompression and injections. I finally found a doctor that realized that I had bulging disc on L4/L5 and L5/S1 on both sides of each. That explained why both legs hurt. I had surgery in 2014. They did a discectomy. It seemed to work but I ended up with a staph infection that got into the spine. It was so bad that I could no longer walk. Had surgery again to clean out the infection. Had a pick line put in and was on it 3 months then oral antibiotics 3 more months. Got hooked on pain killers. I cannot stress enough how hard it was to get off of them. Had to do physical therapy in a pool. Almost lost my job. Only was allowed 1080 hours of sick leave and I used it. Went back to work even though I wasn’t ready. The doctor said that I would need fusion but I didn’t do it. It took about 6 months before I got back to normal. The company later doubled my work load and I couldn’t do it so I retired at 57. That was 2 and a half years ago. I am good now as long as I don’t lift anything too heavy. If you go to the website “losethebackpain.com” there is a lot of good information. I bought a device from them to stretch my back that is not an inversion table. I put a demonstration for you to see. Good luck.

Last year I replaced several windows in my house. They were the expensive double insulated energy efficient windows. This week I got a call from the contractor complaining that the work had been done for a year and I had failed to pay for them. Boy, oh boy, did we go ‘round and ‘round. I told him no one pulls a fast one on this old lady. Even though I am a senior citizen and used to be blonde, that doesn’t mean that I am automatically stupid. I proceeded to tell him just what his salesman told me last year, “in one year they will pay for themselves !” I really shut him up because he just hung up on me.

I take blood thinners also Spirit and I’m pretty clumsy. I’m not a great fisherman. I enjoy it but my wife almost always out fishes me.
Gordon, I never thought about super glue. That’s a good idea. Better than Gorilla glue. Lol

Thanks. Two weeks later she slipped in the yard and heard a pop in her knee. She ended up having to have surgery for a torn meniscus. We think she originally damaged it when she did the split at the boat ramp.

Accidents happen so fast. I figured for less than $20 those two items are good insurance. My wife is my fishing partner. On a trip last November she was getting out of the boat when she noticed that the rope was wrapped around her leg. What she didn’t notice is while she was trying to free it she had one foot on the dock and one on the boat. The boat drifted and she fell in. She panicked and began to hyperventilate, the the inflatable PFD she had on only inflated on one side. The Velcro on the other side didn’t let loose. This put all of the pressure on the other side of the PFD which at this point somehow got under her throat and began choking her. I was able to calm her down and get her to hold on long enough to start the motor and get to shallow water so that she could walk out. She was okay just shook up.

Guys,
A while back there was a discussion on what items should be kept on a boat. I don’t remember if these two were on the list but I thought they would be good to have in an emergency. Good for hunting and camping also.

It is a rod holder I boat at Academy years ago. I couldn’t find it on their website but I found one similar to it at boatid.com. I can take a better video tomorrow if you would like.

This was my low budget solution for preventing rods from getting damaged in the back of my truck.

Another item to carry is something capable of cutting a hook. I set a rod down once in front of my boat deck with a hook dangling and when my dog came out from under the deck the hook caught her in the ear. I was unable to get it out and had to wait until I got home to cut the hook and pull it out.
