Heading to Venice for a month this Saturday. Can anyone tell me if the Red Tide is there also? I fish the north and south jetty’s along with Boca Grande beaches. Please let me know if anyone has some tips.

I would suggest launching in Autrain (Brownstone Launch) and fish the Wood Island reef. You will be fishing in about 100’ to 150’ of water. I like using meat rigs and spoons behind cowbells. Good Luck! Beautiful area!

Hey, I am down in the Destin area for the next three weeks. Anyone hearing any reports of pompano hitting yet. If so, any clues on where to surf fish for them?

Hey Fisherman out there in Destin. Just arrived for the month of March. Are the pompano starting to hit yet? Any recommendations on where to go. Was thinking about Navarre area. Any feedback would be appreciated.
Thanks,

You will probably need a fishing graph and the pontoon you are renting probably does not have one. If you had a graph and found the fish, jigging would be the way to go. Lake Trout and or whitefish. Downriggers are typically used in the area for trout and salmon. Fish are deep right now. 100’ or more. Good luck!

Hey BB,
If you haven’t tried using Frying Magic when frying your walleye, you need to try it. Having some today for our Sunday dinner. Good catch my fishing compadre.

Yes, in-line fuse is a necessity!

Great buy! They say the best way to hook up the power is to go directly to the cranking battery and not a fuse panel. It eliminates interference.

I would have to say brook trout. Doesn’t need to be a monster. When you are back in Cedar swamp in Michigan’s upper peninsula you have peace, serenity and the beautiful brook trout. Now that is as close to heaven as you can be. Love it!
