I was fishing off a peer in North Carolina along the coast,very dark night,suddenly had a strike and when I realed it in it fell off the line and wraped around my ankle and leg! Good size octopus had a devel of a time unwraping it,i would pull off a leg and start on anotherand the first leg would wrap me up again.

Today I caught my first ever fish.

I remember my first fish in South Carolina. Not trying to out do you but this my story.Had a small two piece rod ,put it together,put on the real , ran the line through the rod to the plastic worm,tosed it out about ten feet, Pow ! 11 # large mouth bass. Still on the wall today.

after YOU SKIN THE CATFISH, here is a great way to make a cat fish stew.After fish is cleaned , stand each fish up around sides of large pot,hold their tales to side of pot with closepins. add all your ingredients when everything cooks down , remove tails bones and all.

First catfish I've caught since moving, anybody know what kind it is?

Catfish are scooling fish. They have a slime coat on their body to protect them from the spines of other catfish. So if you ever get stuck ,which can hurt, just rub the catfish tail on the spot, all pain gone instantly..DONT'T BELIEVE ME ,TRY IT.
